Olympus M.Zuiko Digital 7-14 mm f/2.8 ED PRO
10. Autofocus
We didn’t have also any problems with the accuracy of the autofocus either. Both in the case of studio and outdoor shooting sessions the autofocus efficiency amounted to practically 100 percent.
When it comes to the front or back focus tendency the photos below seem to suggest that the lens had back focus on both bodies we used in our test. Still it is not exactly true. It is a result of deformations stemming from the fact that we were literally forced to ‘brush’ the front element against our testing chart in order to take photos of such type. The curvature of the field of course contributes to it as well – we described that effect in our resolution chapter. By the way it is obvious that the central part of the frame the focus was set on is very sharp; it means the aim remains within the depth of field range.
