We don’t have good news when it comes to the performance against bright light. Below you can find photos taken at 7, 10 and 14 mm by f/2.8 and f/8.0 apertures, with the sun being positioned inside the frame, in its very corner and between a dozen and several dozen degrees outside the corner. As you see, you can catch noticeable flares at every combination; even if the source of bright light is situated far away from the frame your photo might still feature very noticeable artifacts which often spoil the whole shot.
We understand that with such a combination of optics and wide angle of view it is not easy to ensure good performance against bright light. Still taking into account the price of the lens and the fact that it has a built-in hood we counted on better results in this category.
