7. Coma, astigmatism and bokeh

Crops shown below make it clear – the tested lens doesn’t have almost any problems with coma. The optics specialists who constructed the Sigma deserve a lot of praise as their lens corrects coma far better than the Panaleica 1.4/25 and the Olympus 1.8/25.

The astigmatism understood as an average difference between horizontal and vertical MTF50 function values, amounted here to 6.2% so its influence on the image quality is not significant.

Circles of light we got in out of focus areas look nice. The light is spread evenly, without any local extremes. There is just one reservation concerning a significant truncation of the circle by f/1.4, connected to the mechanical vignetting.
