Sigma C 30 mm f/1.4 DC DN

9. Ghosting and flares

When it comes to the performance against bright light we don’t have any reservations only for the area near the maximum relative aperture where it is difficult to catch any artifacts and images feature good contrast. When you stop the aperture down, however, you can catch a whole array of ghosting and flares at different positions of the source of bright light in the frame. White and pink marks are the most annoying among them – they appear when the sun is positioned right outside the frame.

Perhaps this performance is not exceptionally bad but also it is the first category the Sigma can be criticized for.
