Astigmatism, understood as an average difference between vertical and horizontal MTF50 function values, amounted to 7.2% and it is a moderate level. As you see, we have no reasons to complain in that category either.

Defocused circles of light are pleasing to the eye. They are characterized by smooth light spread inside; onion-ring bokeh, a result of employing aspherical elements, is not especially bothersome. Mechanical vignetting is visible but decreases quickly and by f/2.8 its level is already low; by f/4.0 it disappears completely. As you see it's another category where the performance of the Batis remains beyond reproach.
