9. Ghosting and flares

When you work near the maximum relative aperture there won't be a lot of problems connected to ghosting and flares. Still, there are situations when you can catch a small, reddish light artifact.

There are more problems on stopping down the aperture – the number of reflections increases and they become yellow and greenish instead of red. Additionally, when the sun is situated very close to the frame corner, you can catch a huge and very intensive artifact in that place.

Overall the Viltrox performs quite well in this category and, let's face it, its task is not that easy. After all you deal here with a wide-angle lens with as many as 20 air-to-glass surfaces, each of them a potential source of unwanted light reflections.
