Astigmatism, understood as an average difference between lateral and horizontal MTF50 function values, amounted to 8.6%. It is a moderate level so there is no reason to complain in this area.

Defocused circles of light look very well. As a result you get very nice out-of-focus areas, without any onion-ring bokeh despite the fact that the lens features aspherical elements. Our reservations concern mainly truncation of the circles caused by mechanical vignetting; still that effect disappears on stopping down the apperture by 2 EV.
