10. Autofocus

The autofocus of the Sony FE 2.5/40 G, joined with the Sony A7R III camera, is completely noiseless and quite quick. Running through the whole distance range and confirming the focus takes about 0.4-0.5 of a second, no matter from what end you start.

The autofocus performs properly well both in the studio and outside - the number of misses is slight, never exceeding 2-3% and if such misses happen they aren't something dramatic.

We haven't observed any noticeable front or back focus tendency either.
