Near the maximum relative aperture the performance against bright light is not especially problematic. Light artifacts appear only after a more significant stopping down. When the sun is positioned closer to the frame centre you can catch several colourful 'ghosts' but, fortunately, they are not very big. After moving the source of bright light to any of the frame corners these artifacts disappear but their place is taken by some radial rays of light. Overall, the tested lens doesn't perhaps do a great job in this category but, taking its huge angle of view into account, it shouldn't be criticized for its performance either.
