Samyang AF 35 mm f/1.4 P FE
1. Introduction
The first full frame 1.4/35 instrument, designed only for mirrorless systems, appeared on the market in October 2017 – I mean the Samyang AF 35 mm f/1.4 FE. In 2022 the producer refreshed this model adding new coatings, a new barrel, and a better autofocus mechanism. Still the optical construction remained the same.

The following chart presents a comparison between basic parameters of all lenses we mentioned above.
The Samyang AF 35 mm f/1.4 FE we tested right after its launch. The Mark II version we didn't test because, to be honest, we don't have enough time to test lenses which optical construction, compared to their predecessor, doesn't change at all. Still we were very keen on testing the brand new model and, courtesy of Focus Nordic, we managed to get one specimen of the Samyang AF 35 mm f/1.4 P FE very fast and take a closer look at it. The results of our tests you can find in the following chapters – enjoy your reading!
