9. Ghosting and flares

At the maximum relative aperture the performance against bright light is not that bad – you can notice a slight contrast loss, a bit of flares and light arcs but, fortunately, they are not especially intensive.

There are more problems when you stop down the aperture in a more significant way. Light artifacts are more numerous, more intensive, and, what's more, you can catch a diagonal burst of light in one of frame corners and destroy your shot completely as a result.

Even though there is still room for improvement here, you can notice some progress when you compare the tested lens to its first version. It's undoubtedly a piece of good news. On the other hand you should notice that Nikon and Sony models performed in this category distinctly better.
