Even at the maximum relative aperture vignetting is not especially bothersome, reaching a moderate value of 27% (-0.91 EV). The problem practically disappears bt f/2.0 and f/2.8, where we measured respectively 11% (-0.33 EV), and 6% (-0.19 EV).

After passing to the bigger full frame sensor there are noticeably more problems and photos below show it clearly.

At the maximum relative aperture our result is very high - 65% (-3.04 EV). It's a level very similar to the one of the Sony (66%) and a bit weaker than 64% of the tested lens's predecessor. Still the differences are cosmetic, within the margin of measuring error, and it is a relatively good information. Vignetting didn't increase significantly despite the fact that the new model is much smaller than its previous versions. In this category the Nikkor managed to defeat all the rest with the vignetting level of 58%.
By f/2.0 aperture you deal with a still distinct level of 49% (-1.94 EV) and it decreases to a value of 36% (-1.27 EV) on stopping down the aperture t f/2.8. Moderate values are achieved up from f/4.0 where we got 29% (-0.97 EV). By f/5.6 and f/8.0 our results amounted to 24% (-0.79 EV) and 21% (-0.68 EV) respectively, and further stopping down didn't have any measureable influence on this aberration.
