A relatively small number of optical elements and a long inner tube of the lens, which is helpful to damp down flares, suggested that the Olympus 12-50 mm might work well against bright light. It is not the case and you can see the proof looking at the shots below. Flares are intensive and appear for all combinations of apertures and focal lengths. What’s more, you don’t have to put the Sun inside your frame to get strong light artifacts. In sunny days we strongly recommend using a hood – unfortunately that piece of accessory you have to buy separately.
