At shorter focal lengths the performance against bright light is average; it gets slightly worse as you pass to near 150-200 mm. Fortunately, in that second case, you’ll rarely have the sun close to the frame.
Overall the performance in this category doesn’t differ noticeably from the performance of other lenses of similar class.
