Samyang AF 24 mm f/2.8 FE
10. Autofocus
Both in the studio and outside the autofocus performance wasn’t problematic. Sporadically the lens missed when we shot near the minimum focusing distance but during the normal work such misses disappeared practically completely.
The tested specimen of the lens did have a very slight back focus tendency but it was visible only when we shot from very short distances. With the increase of the distance the object was already included in the sharp area due to the wider depth of field; overall the problem didn’t seem to be significant.
