The performance of the Sigma 1.4/23 against bright light surprised me very nicely. We expected problems here, because the angle of view is not especially narrow, the lens is fast, aperture-wise, its physical dimensions are quite compact, and it includes as many as 20 air-to-glass surfaces, so many opportunities to catch unwanted reflections.
In practice these unwanted reflections were very few and far between, giving the Sigma the first place in its group and an excellent result overall. A round of applause!
